God Has You Hedged In

Job 1:10a "Hast not thou made an hedge about him..."

Isaiah 5:5 "...I will take away the hedge thereof..."

Ecclesiastes 10:8 "...and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him."

I thank God for His hedges. Hedges are barriers that show boundaries. Hedges are walls of protection placed by God around His children to keep the enemy out.

Sometimes these hedges can be removed by God and sometimes they are torn down by man. God removes them just as He did in Job's life to remind Satan of the spiritual strength of a man whose faith was solely in God. Job had no idea that God had removed the hedge. Although that hedge had been taken away Job still remained faithful to God.

In Ecclesiastes there are mentioned consequences of breaking a hedge. You will get bit!!! Man people have broken down the hedge that God has placed around them. One thing is for sure...those people have found themselves attacked by the enemy.

There is peace and blessing within the hedge of God's will for our lives. However...there are tragic results when a person tears down that hedge and does his own thing. If you are saved the Holy Spirit will warn you when you are close to breaking through that hedge. The choice is yours if you go ahead and tear it down.

I can tell you one thing...nothing and no one can get in that hedge without permission. Either God will give permission or you will. I have to say though that most times it is us that gives the permission by choosing our own will in something rather than God's will.

So I don't know about you...but I thank God for the hedges and don't want to be responsible for opening up a way for the enemy to get in.

I love knowing that God protects his loved ones. Corrie ten Boom (The Hiding Place) talked about (literally) walking around under an umbrella during WWII when the bombs were falling. She always felt safe and covered by prayer. Amen!

I know that you have read in my posts that I am removing walls that surround me.... Well, they are definitely man-made walls. Built by me and all the sins I have committed and whatnot. I'm almost done removing the final bricks. I am so proud! I have always believed that God in my number one protector. Always. And now that I truly believe that in my heart, I know that I can surpass anything that is evil and no good for my life. Gid is good all the time!

Sorry, I don't know if that made any sense. I feel like I was just aimlessly rambling.....

bro. tim....I pray that you always stay hedged in and never let anything come into your life to tear that hedge down. We need your wisdom and your teaching in SS and that won't be effective for you if that hedge is down. I thank God for you Bro. Tim!!!

I agree! The hedge of God's protection is not confining; true freedom can only be found within. :o)
