Update On The Courtship

I know you are all probably wondering what has happened to me. Well...I'm still here. Since the new year things have been a bit crazy. We had a lot of family and friends over on New Year's Eve to play pictionary (this has become an annual event it seems). We ate and laughed and had a blast until a few seconds before midnight. Then we prayed in the new year together. That is always the highlight of the night for me.

Kristina's sweetie (Josh) got to be with us New Year's night and got to know a few of our family members and how crazy they are...LOL!! It was a blessing getting to have him with the family for the new year.

The courtship is going well. God still seems to amaze us as to how wonderful His perfect will is. When something is right...it is right. And when God is in it...it can't help but be right. They are already goo-goo over each other. They sit and stare at one another and they take picture after picture of one another. They are taking much time to get to know one another. It amazes me at how much those two have in common. Not only in their beliefs but also in the things that are their favorites. I've never seen two people with so much in common. It really is amazing to me. Josh comes over quite a bit right now to spend time with Kristina since his place of employment is on shut-down until next Monday. Also the past few days I have not felt well so I haven't felt up to blogging.

Please continue to pray for them. They are seeking God's will on some things and do not want to let themselves interfere in those things. We all know how we can tend to let ourselves and what WE want get in the way. And when we do that...things get messed up and we end up having to learn to seek His will and follow His will.

Jessica's pregnancy is going really well. She is already showing and that excites me to no end. She is so sick though. The progesterone that they have her on to help with the development of the baby is what is making her so sick. That is normal. She has been sick to the point of vomiting on a regular basis for a week or so now. Please continue to pray for her. She tries not to complain because she is thankful that things are going along so well...but she is tired in body from the pregnancy and from the being so sick. Ronnie is also having to look for a job since the company he was working for through a temp agency let all the temporary employees go. Please pray that the Lord give him wisdom of where to go for a job and that God's will be done in this situation. It's tough for any of us to go through but when you are a newly married couple expecting a baby....it is even tougher.

I will be back to posting more regularly soon I hope. I pray all of you had a wonderful New Year and that you are looking for great things to happen in 2009. I know I am!!!

So glad things are going well for Kristina and Josh. It still amazes me how much Kristina looks like you.

I am so glad things are going well with the pregnancy. Praying that Ronnie can find a job soon. So many people are facing this.

I pray that 2009 is a year full of blessings for both of us.

Love and Hugs, Lyndy

Thanks for coming to my blog as well. I found you and your daughters blogs because I googled "courtship blogs". It's hard to find godly referances to the subject. Most of what I've found leads me to dating sites (not my cup of tea, or God's for that matter).

I found both of your blogs encouraging and fun to read as well. I have my salvation testimony posted in my February 2008 archives, if you're interested in reading it.

Most of my blog is pretty random. Mostly it's about a list that I started midway through last year, of things to do before I turn 30 in May, and other life experiences that I like to share with my friends and family all over the world. I also hope that it's used to encourage others.

Have a wonderful day.

Carolyn

Wow! It seems like just a few months ago that you were posting "Update on the Courtship" about me and Ronnie! And now we are almost at our 1 year Anniversary!! How time flies!! (Well, at least when you are married time flies... it seemed like the courtship was going to last forever!! LOL!!). I'm so happy for Kristina, I just knew that the Lord had someone really special for her! And I'm so glad she is courting now, I know how special that time is!! (Even though I've lost my best friend!! LOL!!) It's ok though, I remember how that was, all I wanted to think about was Ronnie back then too! :)

Sis. Carolyn...I know that it has to be very difficult to find others who believe in Biblical courtship. Even since we have studied it out and God has shown us how He feels about dating and how courtship is His way...we have been ridiculed and told that we are crazy to believe the way we do. We've been told our children will never get a mate believing like that. Well...our son got his mate with us believing and practicing like that and now God has sent Kristina her mate with us STILL believing like that. We pray their courtships are a blessing and a help and testimony of how it pays to do things God's way and to wait on that one God has for you.

I'm glad you have found our blogs good reading. I pray you have received help as well.

I will enjoy your blog and look forward to going over there to read when given the opportunity.

Have a great day!!

Jess....Honey you haven't lost your best friend...you just have to share her like she had to share you!! That's all. Once she is married you two will become close again...I'm sure she'll call you before she'll ever call me about something.

Love you!!!

I have kept Jessica, Ronnie, and the baby on my prayer journal since the beginning and I will continue to hold them up in prayer...I know how hard it is for Ronnie, with the thoughts of job hunting...and preparing to become a father going on at the same time...
I think it is wonderful that Kristina and Josh are developing such a close bond with each other...
God is wonderful in placing us with our helpmate if we just stay out of His way and let Him control all situations!!!
Praying for your family in all your situations...
