Praying will cause one to lay aside his/her sinning or else sinning will cause him/her to lay aside his/her praying...the two cannot work together.
I got this quote in Sunday School and liked it so wanted to share it with you. I've heard pretty much this same concept worded in a different way before but I loved the message behind this quote. And it is so true too!!
Also I wanted to update you all on the case concerning my brother's killer. We heard about a couple of months ago that a court date had already been set. The first date is October 6th of this year. We were quite shocked that it was so soon. We were however very thankful to know that the investigator and the district attorney are working to try to get this case to trial quickly. We expect this trial date to be postponed or continued...and I got the call yesterday that it has been. The next court date is not immediately known but we expect that one to be postponed or continued also. A defendant is usually granted several postponements according to however many the judge that will be sitting on that case chooses to give. We don't want this thing to take years to go to court...but we want the state of Mississipi's side to have ample time to prepare for the trial. The evidence against the man who killed my brother is staggering and we are not worried that he will be convicted....we just want a first degree murder conviction and not a lesser count.
So for now we continue to wait. They will notify us of when the next court date is. I will continue to keep you all posted on things. Until then please continue to pray for us as much is still unsettled concerning my brother's estate and also for the man who murdered my brother that he will get saved. I want to see God's will done in all of this.

Julie I will continue to pray for all concerned. Your faith and love is such a testimony to me.
Sis. Tiffany...I appreciate that...but I have had my "human" moments of anger and not understanding it all. But the Holy Spirit always helps me to get back on track with my thinking. He is in control of it all and He has a purpose for it...whether that purpose is for me or for my family or for the man who killed him. I'm not a completely spiritual individual...I do have my moments...but for the grace of God!!
Love you!!
((((Sis Julie))))) I'm sure it's a very difficult time for you all.
GREAT quote, Julie...
And yes you do want God's perfect timing on this court date...it will happen.
Deby
Sis. Leah...It is difficult at times. But actually...we are all doing better. Time heals all wounds they say...but the grace of God heals them faster.
Sis. Deby...Yes ma'am...it will happen.
Oh Sister,
