The Sin Of Immorality Part II

Proverbs 5:4-5 "But her end is better as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword. Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell."

The "strange woman" (immoral lifestyle) leads to hell. The Bible warns us many times about hell. Jesus preached about it many times and warned people not to go there. (Mark 9:43-48) (Luke 16:22-31) In Proverbs 5:4-5 hell is likened to the bitterness of wormwood and the pain of a sharp sword. In fact it is far worse because the pain of hell has no end.

The person who lives a life of immorality also leads to the loss of honor. Proverbs 5:9 "Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:" Look at David and how his honor was stained to this day because of his immorality. It only takes one immoral act to strip a person of the honor they had. There are even many preachers who committed adultery and they are out of the ministry today. Their honor was stripped of them because of one act and it shadowed all the good they had accomplished before they committed that sin.

This person also experiences loss of wealth. Proverbs 5:10 "Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger;" Samson lost everything to immorality. It causes loss of marriage. It can cause loss of job. It can cause loss of friends or cause friendships to never be the same. For those who have children...it can cause them to lose custody of those children.

Immorality can cause a person to see their health fail. Proverbs 5:11 "And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed," God has allowed disease to be created as a result of a sinful lifestyle. There are many sexually transmitted diseases that a person will never catch if he/she remains pure until the day of marriage and remains faithful to their spouse. There is also often health issues as a result of drinking alcohol and drug abuse. This has resulted in tens of thousands of cases of premature death in those in the rock and roll scene. Elvis Presley died at age 42 because of immorality.

My next post will share more with you from the article that Bro. Cloud wrote. May these posts serve as a warning to each of us of what a sinful lifestyle can and often will result in.

Thank you for the reminder that there are many types of "immorality". I pray you are doing well. I went to Costco in Morrow yesterday and thought of ya'll. Maybe next time I go, we (you, Kristina and Jess) can meet for lunch somewhere.

I responded to your last post but for some reason I guess it didn't go through. You are right there are many dangers to falling into immorality. The sad thing today is most people really don't care. Good Post! Looking forward to the rest of these posts.

Sis. Leah....Yes..you do need to let us know when you are coming through next time. We could either meet for lunch or maybe you could come to our house for lunch and fellowship. We live off Hwy. 20 in Hampton and the sign on Hwy. 20 says Conyers is 28 miles from here on that road. Just let me know....we'd love to see you!!

Bro. Tim....I don't know what is going on with Blogger or with my email. I am not getting everyone's comments sent to my email lately. I go to my dashboard and have lots of unmoderated comments. I published them now.

These posts really touched my heart in light of what Michelle is doing now and also a friend of mine's son as well. People don't consider the consequences of their actions...especially against God and His Word. It really is scary!!

VERY IMPORTANT!

Are you a good person? Take this test and find out.
