Psalm 118:8 "It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."
This verse truly has been a blessing to me!! This is the verse the Lord used to help me with this thing of us going into missions out of pastoring.
I told you that I would update you all on our deputation and I can't begin to tell you how wonderful it is to have the peace of God. When we are in the center of His will there is so much peace and assurance. I know I struggled with this thing of going into missions...but now I look back on it and am ashamed that I did. I should have trusted the Lord more. But the truth is....my trust was misplaced. I was putting my trust in my husband and in the church. My trust was in man. But man is not our source....God is!!
We have been in 9 independent baptist churches and 5 of them have taken us on for support. We are currently at 15% of our support that we need to be full-time in this ministry that God has us in. My hubby is enjoying the opportunities to go into the prisons and preach to those men. He has seen souls saved. How many you might ask? As many as trusted Christ and repented of their sins. So many have made comments to us about jail-house religion. My husband said something that was oh so true. It is no different than church-house religion. Both will send a person to Hell. But only God knows their hearts. We can only do as God commands...tell them about Christ and let the Holy Spirit do His work in their hearts and lives. We feel so honored and privileged to be chosen by God to do this new ministry He has put us in. I will be grading the discipleship lessons that the men will be doing by correspondence through the mail. I'm excited to get involved and do what I can do for this ministry. I can't go into the prisons but I can do what I can. These men receive monthly lessons that they study and do and receive a certificate for each one they complete and pass. At the end of one year they receive a diploma that is the equivalent of one year's bible college. What an opportunity for these men!!
We are enjoying going in to these different churches and meeting other brothers and sisters in Christ and having opportunity to fellowship with them while we are there. Each church has been a blessing!!
Thank you for your prayers for us!! God is truly blessing us and it excites our hearts to see Him working and providing. We know there will be tough times ahead and my prayer is that I will always trust Him and not man. Please continue to pray for our youngest daughter. Things have not changed where she is concerned. But God is working!!
We also joined Bro. Joe Arthur's church Harvest Baptist Tabernacle on May 4th. We are having opportunity to get involved already and are very excited about that as well. We already feel so much at home there. We feel like we are part of a new family...and that is how we should all feel at our church....like we are part of a family!! If you don't feel that way about your church then I feel sorry for you and you should pray about finding the church that God wants you in so you can enjoy that blessing.
Please continue to pray for us as we do what God has us doing in service for Him.

Bro Tim
Sister Julie!!
So glad your deputation is going so well. And its seems that Bro.Ron can do his missionary work at the same time!
God bless,
Rhonda
Bro. Tim...Thank you for those prayers!
Sis. Rhonda...Yes he can. But he is anxious to get all of our support so he can hold the revival meetings two weeks out of the month. Right now he is only going to the prisons once or twice a month on Saturdays because he has to work. Once he can go to the prisons like he needs to he will be gone two weeks out of the month holding revival meetings and going cell to cell witnessing. That is what he is really looking forward to!!
Sis Julie -
This is wonderful news about your deputation! God is good! Will be continuing to pray for the deputation and for your daughter as well.

Sis. Mimi....It is really exciting for all of us!!
Just dropped by to say I hope you had a great mothers day! And even though I don't play the puzzle game (because I'm not good at it) I do drop by every day.
Sis. Theresa...Awww...thanks for letting me know.
That is great.
God is so good to us.
We will continue to pray for you and your family.
Lord Bless...
I just wanted to let you know that I'm praying for you! Thanks for the update on deputation-I remember having a lot of fun on deputation, but a lot of it was a blur of activity. I read your blog faithfully, but you don't see a lot of my comments because I have to spend less time on the internet lately.
This was a great uplifting post concerning your new chapter in life. And joining a new church can be an issue all on its own. I am so happy I had a little time to read blogs tonight. Blessings my friend.
I have not left comments in a while but want you to know that I am praying for your husband and family as you take on this new role in life for God. It is awesome to hear just how at peace you are with what is going on. God is awesome and He always Blesses us when we do what He wants us to do!
Love in Christ,
Cindy
oh this is so exciting. I am enjoying and encouraged as we hear how God is unfolding all of this.
