Are You Confessing Or Denying?

Matthew 10:1a "And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power..."

In this chapter the Lord is instruction His disciples before He sends them out. We can apply these things to our lives in these days we're living in.

In verse 1 we read that He had given them power to do these things He told them to do. We need God's power on us before we go to do anything for Him.

Verse 7 "And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand." The number one thing for the disciples to do was to preach. They were to preach that the kingdom of heaven was at hand. If it was at hand then...how much closer do you think it is now? I think that the angel is pursing up his lips and getting ready to blow the trumpet. The rapture is very close now.

Verse 22 "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved." He told them that they would be hated. We ARE hated!! We are hated by the devil. We are hated by the world.

Verse 26 "Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known." Although we are hated...we should not fear those who hate us. God protects and cares for His children.

Verses 32-33 "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven." We should not be ashamed of Him. He tells us that if we're ashamed of Him then He will be ashamed of us before the Father. He also says if we deny Him that He will deny us before the Father.

Are you confessing of Him? Do you tell others of His imminent return and that it will be very soon? It could be any moment now. Are you telling others that He died for them? Are you telling them He loves them? Have you told them what He has done for you? If you're not doing anything to tell others...you are denying Him.

Verse 39 "He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it." We need to let go of our lives and start confessing Him and not be guilty of denying Him!!

Thank you Sis.Julie... the wonderful thing about having gone through a bad illness, paralysis, being able to walk but still having a handicap is that I cannot deny God. Sometimes people have stopped me to ask me why I limp or whatever, and I get to share about the Lord this way. Reminds me of when Jacob was limping after having wrestled with God... his kids wondering what had happened but he could only praise God... if I remember well.

BTW, great news about Jessica and Ronnie. I'm so glad they changed the date because I just couldn't wait that long ;)

Blessings dear Sister.

sis. jimena....I guess from your comment that you have been to Jessica's blog and she posted that the date has been changed? I haven't been by there yet but that is the only way could think that you would know. I plan to post it later today (maybe...if I get the time...LOL!!)

Love you!!

dave...I personally don't believe they are ungodly. I do believe they aren't as separated as they could be and that it affects their witness and their walk with Him if they have learned what He says about it but chooses to neglect that teaching. The lady that invited me and had a huge part in my salvation wears pants and I consider her to be a godly lady. You will hear others say many different things about that...but that is how I feel about it.

Sis Julie -
This is so important - we need to be confessing every day, even if it is "just" passing out a tract at the store to the cashier. I have read many stories of how this simple thing has changed lives! We need to be willing to do it. Great post!

sis. pamela....you are so right. And it is a simple thing to do to hand someone a tract too. But so many are guilty of not doing that.

VERY IMPORTANT!

Are you a good person? Take this test and find out.
