We're Back From Campmeeting....

Hello everyone!! Kristina and I got back from campmeeting this morning at about 10:30am. We are exhausted physically but spiritually refreshed. We heard some awesome preaching that convicted my heart in many areas. He showed me areas of my life I wasn't right in and He helped me to get help as a result of it. He encouraged me and blessed me beyond measure.

I will be doing (Lord-willing) what I did after the June campmeeting of posting some of my notes of messages that we heard this past week. I'm sure if they helped me that they will probably help some of you.

I am glad to be home for I always miss my husband and my son and youngest daughter while we're gone. It was a very hot week at the camp. Yesterday the temperature was 103*. We did our fair share of sweating. The airconditioners had a hard time competing with the heat. But where it was hot outside the wind was blowing in the tabernacle. The Holy Spirit moved in the services and there were several souls saved during the week. Two young men even surrendered to preach which was a blessing as well.

Thank you for praying for us while we were gone. I missed you all and look forward to getting back to things soon. As for today though...I'm going on less than 3 hours of sleep and am pretty tired. I'll be posting again Monday and may even share some pictures from the week as well.

Hi Julie,

Wanted to take a moment to stop by for a visit. I started my new job this week, so I am behind in blogging. So glad to hear you had a great week at the camp meeting and I look forward to reading your sermon notes.

It was terribly hot here wasn’t. Praying you have a wonderful weekend.

Sis. Julie,
I love campmeetings where the spirit of God is moving and the saints can rejoice and sinners are under conviction. We just went this past week to a campmeeting. On Thursday evening, the spirit of conviction was strong. My son, Caleb, told his daddy that God was dealing with him, but he did not move. Last night, Friday, he called dad into his room and asked him to pray with him to be saved. My heart is rejoicing. Just wanted to share the good news.

sis. karen....I'm sorry you've never been to a campmeeting. I've been going to this particular one for over 12 years now. I was "hooked" from the first time I went. I always get helped and it is such a blessing to be taken away from all the influences of the world for a week to just hear nothing but singing and preaching!! I also make new friends each time I go....and that is always such a blessing as well.
