First of all I found out about a situation that needs our prayers over at Sis. Meghan's Site. Please go here to read about it and to know what to pray for. As I was reading the posts the Lord let me know that this could very well have been me and my family. Although my situation wasn't the same it was similar in that there was opportunity for accusation. My youngest daughter Michelle was very clumsy growing up. We always said she would trip over lint if there was any on the floor. Our entire family knew this about her. And we've had her to the doctor more than any of our children for injuries inquired just from her being so loose-jointed or from just being clumsy. The doctor would always ask us how it happened and we would tell them and they had this look in their eye of "Yeah...right!". Knowing how this world we live in today and all that takes place in it I always waited for a call from DFACS (Department of Family And Children Services) or a visit from them to check our home and/or how our children were treated. But thanks be to God that never happened. Well it has happened to Bro. Joshua and his family. Please earnestly pray for them and that God's will would be done in the situation. And pray as if it were you going through it.
Second of all...it is campmeeting time again. My daughter Kristina and I always (Lord-willing) go to the June campmeeting and the August campmeeting in Resaca, GA at Faith Baptist Camp. The August campmeeting starts tomorrow at the campgrounds. Kristina and I will be leaving after our afternoon service tomorrow to head to the campgrounds and will return on Saturday morning around noon. That being said I won't be posting on my blog for a week. I will miss each of you and will be catching up on your posts when I get back home. Please pray for us that we would get the help the Lord has for us there and that we would be receptive in our hearts to the preaching of God's Word while we're there. We'll be enjoying much singing, preaching and Christian fellowship while we're there. Please pray the temperatures would lower and/or that it would rain while we're there. The August campmeeting is typically the hottest one and the most uncomfortable temperature wise than any of the meetings. But God is usually faithful to grant us some relief and I pray He'll do it again this year.
Y'all have a great week and keep the comments coming. They really are an encouragement to my heart and a blessing to others as they read them. Y'all are what keeps me going with this blog...especially when I get discouraged about it and just don't feel like messing with it. Yes I get that way too just as some of you do. So these breaks that I get are needful for me. I love you all and will be in touch when I get back home!!

It's so sad when the state interferes in things that are none of their business. I was shocked the other day to learn that in some states (Indiana I think it was referring to specifically) have laws that if your child is born in that state, then the state does indeed own your child. That's so WRONG!!! Yet the kids that truly are abused are left in their situations.
katy-anne...you are so right!! It is definitely a shame how the system works.
Sis Julie, I've said it before, I know these people personally. These accusations are total lies. I really hate they're going through this. And I truly believe that the almighty $$$$$ is root of this evil. God will prevail. I have no doubt.
Have a wonderful time at Campmeeting. Glean much and bring us back what you learn!!

sis. kristi....I knew someone had led me to Bro. Joshua's website before but I couldn't remember who it was. This newest one isn't the same as the one I had before. Either way I'm just appalled at the newest info on this situation. Last I heard she was in the hospital with pancreitis (sp) and I'd been praying for her about that. I had no idea about these newest developments. I just felt led to get everyone else praying about the situation.
I pray we glean much from the campmeeting and I will more than likely do as I did last time I went and post some of my notes from some of the messages that I got the most help from.
For me it can be really hard to know who to believe in cases like this. I mean I know of a family right now that the kids truly do get abused, but the family denies it. The pastor NEVER sees it, so he thinks the family is great, but if you've been actually in their house when they aren't acting like there is nothing wrong, you see far more than you want to. They'd be claiming they didn't abuse their kids in a case like this too when some know they do and most don't so most would stick up for the parents and in that case be wrong about the abuse situation. So yeah it's difficult, but it's still unfortunate that the state gets involved at all. The should at least need solid evidence.
Not trying to argue or anything, just saying that it can be hard for some people to believe everything they hear about stuff like this. It shouldn't be difficult but it is. We live in a sad day and age.
katy-anne...you are right. But there are more than one persons who testify to the testimony of this family by knowing them personally. And to me...though its hard to know for sure....I look into the eyes of those children and I see nothing but love and joy in their eyes. I don't see fear and signs of abuse. But you are so right about not really knowing in some situations. I just pray all works out as God would have it to.
Me too, I tried to leave them a comment of support but looks like only you can leave comments lol.
I don't know if you will get to read this before you take off for Campmeeting. I trust you and Kristina have an awesome time in the Lord! Stay safe and I'll pray right now that the temps will cool down a bit!
Love you! Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back home.
sis. pam....thank you so much!! I love you too Sis!!!
I hope that the campmeeting will be as powerful as the last one. I'm sure it will be. I am definitely looking forward to you sharing what you hear with us when you return.
Hello, I came to your blog through A Daughter at Home's site.
You mentioned that your youngest daughter was very clumsy. My almost 3 year old daughter seems extra clumsy and falls a lot. Was there anything you did to help your daughter? Coordination Exercises? Did she just outgrow it?
I know you are at camp meeting now so I will check next week.
Thank you.
Sis. Julie, I have given you the "Inspirational Blogger Award." You inspire me each visit I make to your blog and I thank you. Please go to my blog to find out the details. connie from Texas
sis. sandy....I'm home and it was absolutely AWESOME!! I'll be posting about it in the next day or so.
sis. connie...Thank you so much!! I feel so unworthy of such an award but I'll go by and check your post soon. I love you!!
jendi...There isn't anything that I did. She just must have outgrown it. I don't think it was anything physically wrong with her other than being clumsy. Now we just deal with dislocation of joints. That runs in my side of the family and she was so "blessed" (not really...LOL) to get that.
