The Graduation Service

I first want to give God all the praise....honor and glory for what He did on Saturday. I don't even want to call it a ceremony because it was more like a service. God showed up and blessed us with His presence.

To start with the girls were so nervous. But then again so was I. I'm going to hate to see us on their wedding days. Whew...I won't even go there in this post...LOL!! We started promptly at 2:00 with the welcome and the opening prayer. Then the girls walked down the aisle to Pomp & Circumstance (they walked a bit too fast...but like I said they were nervous). Then we had a series of speakers who you'll see in the pictures before and after they spoke we had two preachers. Bro. Tim preached for about 10 minutes and then Bro. Darrell preached for about 20-25 minutes. I know the girls were challenged to live for Christ and also blessed to hear these precious people that spoke on their behalf. The gospel was preached for those that were in the service that are lost. The girls wanted that to be done most of all. There were people that were in the service that don't go to church. The service lasted about an hour and five minutes. Many came up to me afterwards and said they had never been to a graduation like that and that they were glad they were asked to be a part of it. They said it was a real blessing. AMEN!!! Things went much better than I could have ever asked. God blessed is all I can say.

Afterwards we all came to our house for a reception and lots of food. Everyone stayed except Bro. Darrell who had to go to south Georgia to begin a week long revival meeting and Sis. Jodie who played the piano for us...she wasn't feeling well. I was so thankful that she came even though she didn't feel well. We had so much food and people fellowshipped and got their pictures taken with the girls. It was a grand time of celebration.

I hope you enjoy the pictures below. There were 181 pictures taken and two videos taken as well. The girls will each have a video of the service to keep. I know they will probably watch it over and over. Thank you to all who prayed for our day on Saturday. Your prayers were answered. God blessed abundantly. Enjoy the pictures below and feel free to leave comments.

I was so honored to have a part in the girls graduation. I too have never been to something like their graduation but I thought the Lord met in a special way. Everything went so well and I agree with Preacher the Lord got the glory. I am so looking forward to seeing what God is going to do with Kristina, and Michelle, I believe as long as they stay faithful to him, that their our great days ahead for their life. The pictures all turn out except for that fat kind that was preaching. JUst Kidding. Have a great day.

Congratulations to the girls! This reminded me so much of my HS graduation. I was the only graduate. It makes it easy to plan reunions!

sis. lyndy....thank you again for praying and I have to say that the girls turning out the way they have is not to my credit. It is all by the grace of God. I have certainly failed them in many ways and in spite of that they have still turned out to be beautiful and God-honoring young ladies.

Oh, Julie, what a joy to look at those wonderful pictures of your two beaming daughters as they reached this milestone in their lives. It is a good thing ~ a Biblical thing ~ to place a marker at certain points in life. A marker to look back on and say, "look what the Lord did for me."

Many congratulations to Michelle and Kristina!

VERY IMPORTANT!

Are you a good person? Take this test and find out.
