Update On Michelle

We went to the doctor today for Michelle's follow-up. The doctor examined Michelle again and once again told us the results of the ultrasound were negative. When she pressed on Michelle's belly there was still pain. She is ordering a blood work-up. We will go Thursday (Lord-willing and I'm feeling better) to the hospital to get that done. We are also going to be scheduling an appointment with a GI specialist. The doctor did say that depending on the results of the blood work the GI specialist may want to run some tests. If the blood work shows something and it is clear what the problem is then she won't have to have any further tests done. That is what I'm praying for at this point. The doctor said that if the results are negative or normal (however you want to say it) then she may have to have a colonoscopy. Michelle's eyes got very big and said she didn't want to have that done. I'm praying she won't have to. She is so young to have to have something like that done.

I haven't scheduled the appointment with the specialist yet. I've not felt well today and am not in a position to concentrate on doing something as tedious as that. With the insurance we have the visit to the specialist has to be approved and it may be very difficult to get her in anytime soon. I'm praying we won't face that problem with this.

I want to thank you all for your continued prayers for her. She is a tough girl and deals better with pain than I do. She doesn't complain unless it gets real severe (which it has been at times). All of your comments of encouragement and letting me know you are continuing to pray is a true blessing. I'll be keeping you all updated as things go along.

Thank you again and may God bless each of you!! You all are such a blessing to me.

Poor Michelle. I do hope they find out something soon. It's terrible to know you have something wrong with you and noone can tell you what.

Julie - I've not commented before, but I see you all around, so I started visiting your blog. I just wanted you to know that I am praying for your sweet girl. It can be very frustrating dealing with doctors sometimes. [It took them over a year to figure out I had gallstones -- BIG ones! They developed during my second pregnancy, and my OB told me it was gas. I must have made a fortune for the makers of Gas X because I bought a LOT of it - lol! Funny now, but *not* then.]

Definitely praying the blood work will turn up the problem and that no invasive testing will be necessary!!

I'm sure Michelle probably has her own verses for strength, but I thought I'd share with her what got me through the worst attacks of pain.

Jeremiah 9:23-24
(23)Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
(24)But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.

Hugs to you all!

Sis Julie, I will continue to pray for Michelle as well as the rest of you. I pray that the blood test show what is going on and there will not have to be any other testing done.

I am also praying that you are feeling better yourself soon.

With Love,
Cindy

Julie, I am so sorry to hear that Michelle is still in pain. I will be praying for her and you as well. I know that the unknown is scary but God knows what is going on and I pray He leads the doctors to the source of her pain.

Big Hugs, Lyndy

Thank you all so much for your sweet comments. I'm really doing much better about the situation with Michelle. This past week however I've been down with some female physical issues of my own. I'm coming out of that though and should be back on track again with my posts. I'm so sorry I haven't been posting more. I love you all and appreciate you so very much!!

Hope and pray Michelle will be well. I have had a colonoscopy myself, tell Michelle if it does come to that that it wasn't distressing at all, in fact the drug used to make me relax whilst I had it done sent me to sleep :) It turned out I had Irritable Bowel Syndrome and some benign polyps - painful but not dangerous. I used to be in agony, doubled over in pain, but it was just trapped gas in my bowel because it went into spasm sometimes depending on whether I was stressed or if I had eaten something that caused a lot of gas. After having my children I don't really suffer from it at all now praise God. Hugs for Michelle and for you.

VERY IMPORTANT!

Are you a good person? Take this test and find out.
