How Have You Responded To God's Love?

I John 5:12 "He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life."

The greatest love in the universe is the love that God has for man. Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." By sending the Lord Jesus Christ to die in our place as the full and only acceptable payment for man's sins God has proven that love. Unfortunately that love is rejected and ignored by a lot of men.

There is a proper and an improper way to respond to the love of God.

Those that do not love Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour are lost. Christ came and died a cruel death and rose again to prove that love. He is the only hope of salvation. The lost person's response to the love of God is to realize that love that God has for him. Then he must receive the love by taking Jesus as his Saviour. Then he must rely on that love as his only hope of Heaven.

The lost person also has a choice to either accept that love and receive the salvation that God is offering him or he can also choose to reject or refuse that love. That rejection is the sin that sends a soul to Hell and eventually the Lake of Fire forever. When a person's life ends the opportunity for salvation is over. The lost person will enter an eternity of separation from God and His love.

How sad for a person to live their life without God and His love in their life only to die and spend an eternity in the Lake of Fire. That person sends himself there just by simply not responding to God and His love at all or rejecting it.

I'm so thankful that almost thirteen years ago I responded to God's love by accepting Him and His love into my life. Since that day my life has not been the same.

So how about you? Have you responded by accepting Him and His love or have you rejected it? The choice is ours to make. If you've not yet accepted that love in Christ won't you do it today? Trust me...it will be the best and most important decision you will and could ever make!!!

Amen, Sis. Julie!!! I feel the same way. God's agape love cannot be outdone! I almost missed this great love - if I had said no, four days later I would have awoken in hell. :-( How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; (Heb 2:3) Praise the Lord for saving me!!!

Mrs Julie I thank God that I have accepted the Love and it changed my life. I thank God that he loves me inspite of me. Praise God for that. It is so true people that have not the Son may a body and live in this world but they have no life. Good Post

Praise the Lord I can answer your questions with a big ol' resounding "YES"! I am so glad I recieved Christ as my Savior as a young adult while driving down the highway! I had been raised in a Pastor's home and had made a profession early on but it wasn't real. I'm so glad the Holy Spirit got a hold of my heart that night. I was headed in the wrong direction with my life, but can thankfully rejoice that with God's help, things turned around quickly!

VERY IMPORTANT!

Are you a good person? Take this test and find out.
