I Have A Prayer Request

I would like to ask my fellow Brothers and Sisters in Christ to please pray for my daughter Michelle. As you know from mention in one of my other posts...I have had to take her to the doctor. In fact...I've had her three different times for the same thing. It all started 5 weeks ago. On a Wednesday night after church she was laying on the couch in extreme pain in her abdomen and also hurting in her chest. I treated it as indigestion or heartburn since it sounded like what it was.

She was still hurting the next day so I took her to the doctor not sure what to think was going on. Anytime there is chest pain it is a concern to me. That doctor examined her by checking the normal ears, nose and throat. He listened to her heart and her lungs and said all sounded fine. He pressed on her abdomen and she about came off the table. Why he suggested this next thing I'm not sure but he wanted chest xrays. He said that he wanted to make sure the heart was okay. I guess I was glad of that but her abdomen was hurting so badly I didn't understand why he didn't want anything done with that. We went that evening for the xrays and waited for the call telling us what the results were. We got those the first part of the following week. They were clear showing nothing wrong.

By this point she wasn't hurting in her chest so much anymore but was still hurting in her abdomen just as badly. So I took her back one week later. She then saw a different doctor per my request so as to get a second opinion of what was going on. This doctor checked her the same way as the other doctor. This doctor got a urine sample from Michelle and that checked out fine. She said she wanted to send it off for a culture to see if anything would grow just in case there was a urinary tract or bladder infection going on. She then prescribed an antibiotic for her to get her started on in case it was an infection. Let me just say here that Michelle is not good at swallowing very large pills and could not take the medication even by cutting the pill in quarters to do so. So she didn't take it. We were scheduled to go back to the doctor one week later for the results of the culture and a recheck.

We went back the next week and the results were that nothing grew with the culture so she wasn't in trouble for not taking the antibiotic. She saw the head doctor of the practice this visit and he examined her once again in the same way that the other two doctors did. Her chest was not hurting at all by this point. But her abdomen still hurt just as bad when pressed on as it did with the first visit 4 weeks prior. This doctor has ordered an ultrasound for her to have done. This will be done tomorrow morning. We will go back to the doctor Tuesday to get the results of the ultrasound.

I would like to ask that each of you please pray that if there is something wrong that it will be revealed. Michelle is having what I call attacks of extreme pain (at different times of the day and night) while she is sitting, standing or walking. The activity or lack thereof does not seem to matter.

It has had me quite concerned since I know that extreme pain like this is not normal. Michelle has a very high tolerance for pain so for her to complain about it means it is quite severe at times. I want to thank those of you who have already been praying for her that have known about this. I also want to thank those of you who will be praying for her. When I know the results or know more information on her situation...I will be sure to post it and let you all know. I believe in prayer and I believe on asking others to pray for a need. Thank you to all who will be praying!!

Mrs Julie never thought about it being the gall bladder but it does make sense. We definitely are praying that the Lord touches Michelle and that this ultrasound will definitely show what is going on.

Sister Julie, I will be praying for Michelle as well as the rest of you. Mom and Dad need them prayers as well for the strength and wisdom to make the right choices and descisions concerning Michelle. Gall Blader would be something to make sure and suggest if the doctor does not. I will be praying for the doctors to have the wisdom they need to find out what is going on and correct the problem.

My Love is being sent your way!
Cindy

Sis. Julie, I will certainly be praying for your daughter. I hope it doesn't turn out like the year long episode I had with my severe episodes of pain in my abdomen. They finally figured out I had Chron's disease. I will be keeping you and your daughter in my thoughts and prayers during this time. connie from Texas.

I will keep Michelle in prayer. My brother's wife (same name) just had surgery for an ulcerated colon... related to her Crohn's disease. I pray Michelle's diagnosis is much less serious. (((HUGS)))
