Matthew 7:7 "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:"
Luke 11:9 "And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."
My daughter Kristina had a prayer answered a couple of weeks ago (something I've been praying for in relation to her for a long time as well) about her taking piano lessons. She has been praying for several years about taking piano lessons. She has had a desire to play for some time now but due to financial reasons the Lord just didn't see fit to let us pay for them. The one time we did have the funds to pay it seemed to just be the wrong timing. We had a lesson scheduled for her on a particular night to start taking piano lessons but she ended up with strep throat and couldn't go to that lesson. From that point on it just never seemed to work out.
Two weeks ago an envelope was handed to her by my husband where someone had given it to him to give to her. On the envelope it had her name and specified "For piano lessons". She was so excited...so was I of course. We started her first lesson last week with my son's fiance's piano teacher. This week we went for her second lesson. She had practiced so hard all week and did so much better tonight than her teacher expected.
When they came out of the room from her lesson her piano teacher sat down on the other side of the room and proceeded to tell me she is learning so much faster than she ever expected....and this was only her second lesson. Then she said that she didn't feel right taking any money for lessons from Kristina. She proceeded to tell us that she doesn't want to charge her for her lessons anymore. She said since Kristina plans to use her piano playing for the ministry (she'll be playing in our church sometimes and giving Ronnie a bit of a break since our son Ronnie is our pianist at church) that she didn't feel right charging her for the lessons. So as of tonight she will no longer have to pay for her lessons. Of course I just bawled and praised God and thanked her so much for doing this. Kristina just stood there with her mouth wide open and said thank you and didn't know really what else to say.
This was such a blessing. To see my daughter moved to the point of tears as a result of an answer to prayer twice in two weeks in this area of her learning to play the piano was so much more of a blessing to me than you could ever imagine. It's good to have our own prayers answered....but to see the answers to our children's prayers coming to fruition is even more of a blessing!!
I just would like to thank my Lord and Savior for what He is doing in my daughter's life and for answering that prayer for her. It meant so much to me to see her speechless as a result of answered prayer in her life. I pray that God blesses her teacher Mrs. Jodi for obeying the Lord and being such a blessing to my daughter. She works a full time job and then teaches piano in the evenings. This is a sacrifice that she makes and enjoys doing so.
Let this be an encouragement to each of you that God is still on His throne and is still answering prayer!! Isn't He wonderful??!!! I'm here to tell you that He is!!! Thank you Lord Jesus!!

It is good to be a child of God! We have stood with our mouth opened several times this week. LOL
Practice is the key!! She'll do great as long as she's faithful to practice. I'm so happy for her. That is such a blessing to her, I'm sure.

Mrs Julie praise the Lord God did it again. I am so glad that God worked this prayer out in his own time. We serve a wonderful God. I am so glad that God still answers prayer. Have a great day.

Sis, Julie, God is so good. I saw something like this happen a few years back with two of my Granddaughters. Today, God has blessed and they can play the piano with the best of them and they only use it for God's glory. Thank God for answered prayers. connie
God is so awesome and so good. That is such an awesome thing that your daughter will now be able to take piano lessons, and for free!!! Wow!! Gods timing is perfect!!!!
That's just beautiful Sis Julie, what a Lord!
What a blessing! We've been wanting to switch piano teachers for our oldest, but the cost is more than we have budgeted for lessons. Reading this post I realized that I haven't even prayed about it yet! (Shame on me. :( ) I know the Lord will provide if He wants us to make the switch. :)
Thanks so much for sharing this. :)
So happy for her! Thanks for sharing that encouragement with all of us!
Oh Julie I am rejoicing with you. What a blessing for Kristina and I know the teachers kindness will be rewarded. Isn’t it wonderful that we can turn to God for all our wants and desires? He is worthy to be trusted. A true blessing indeed.
Thank you so much for your prayers regarding my job. I haven’t gotten to post a blog yet but so far the first two days have gone well.
I'm praising the Lord with you all! She will do great and now she knows its God's will for her! What a learning experience.
Now about that article in the Tampa Tribune - It was about a nun here who goes by the name of Sister Julie! So you can relax now!
