Why I Am NOT A Jehovah's Witness

I have come upon some information that I have studied out and would like to share on this subject of being a Jehovah's Witness. This may not set well with some readers but I will share Scripture from the Word of God that support why we should not be involved in this form of religion. I will be splitting up 14 reasons into 14 posts. This way it keeps the posts short and easier to read and keep up with. Some of the posts may be quite lengthy for the reason that I want to share Scriptures with you relating to that specific point that. I pray it will serve as a time of learning for us all. We all need to be learned about these people and what they believe.

This study was put in the form of a tract written by Steve Mellor. I found it very informative and very helpful to me. I pray it will be to you as well. We should not be afraid to witness to the Jehovah's Witnesses when they come knocking on our door. They are being led astray and deserve to hear the truth. But we must know what they believe and also know what we believe in order to try to help them to know the truth.

I'm sure many have wondered if the teachings of the Jehovah's Witnesses are the same as those of Christianity. They will tell you that they believe in Jesus and will also receive the promise of heavenly life. But we have to remember that Jesus said in Matthew 7:21a "Not every one that said unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven..." So be sure to come back and see what those 14 reasons are why we should not be involved in this form of religion.

I do not wish to argue on this subject. I will simply post what I have learned. If you don't agree...then you are entitled to disagree. I will not allow argumentative comments on my site. Any anonymous comments that do not leave their name in the comment will not be published. So if you do not have a blog and have to use the "Anonymous" way to leave a comment...please put your name in your comment or it will not be published. Thank you.

I am looking forward to this! I will be checking daily to see what you post and what scripture you use to back it up with. I am always ready to learn new things and I have always wondered about this topic. Thanks for doing this Julie!

Sis. Tiffany...I think it is important to be learned on these things so we know how to talk with them and help them see the error of their ways. I hope these posts will help you.

Hi Julie,

If you or any of your readers would like to really dig into the history and doctrine of the Watchtower Society, I've started my own blog based on my own research.

I grew up as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and I can tell you that most JWs do not know how dishonest the Watchtower Society has been over the years.

Sis. Julie, with all the false teachings out there, this certainly is a much needed series. Keep witnessing of the truth found in God's Word, and don't be discouraged when the Devil and his children fight against the Light. If they never hear the truth, they will never have an opportunity to receive it.
