An Update On My Site....And A Singing

Hello everyone!! I pray all of you are having a great and blessed day. I know I have still been absent from posting lately. I really do hope you all forgive me. I do plan to get back to being more faithful. I really do need this break. I post when God puts something on my heart that He feels I need to share. I know He will get me where I can begin posting more faithfully again....and I pray it is soon. Some of you may have never been in this place before where you are so burdened that you just have to stop and be still. That is where I'm at right now in my life. I know my Lord knows best. Thank you for all the prayers and the emails and the sweet comments letting me know you have not forgotten about me. They mean so very much!!

I did want to let you all know that I have created a new playlist for my site. I had to remove Ray Boltz from my previous playlist due to news of his "coming out". To read more about that you can go here. I had no idea about this until a friend left me a comment letting me know. Thank you Sis. Juanita. I do not support that lifestyle nor will I promote someone who is living it. I couldn't remember my info to just change my previous playlist so I had to create a new one. I've added several new ones that weren't available before. They are some of my favorite southern gospel (that are TRUE southern gospel) songs. I pray you will all enjoy them as you visit the site and maybe eve will use it to listen to as you do your daily things in your home or office. If the song there is a song on that list that you want to listen to specifically....just click on that song and it will play. Otherwise I have it on random shuffle so it will play differently each time the whole list plays.

I also wanted to let all those that may live near Harvest Baptist Tabernacle in Jonesboro, GA know that this Friday night (September 19th) at 7:30 pm we will be having The Primitive Quartet. They will be singing for us. We are looking forward to this. Bro. Joe Arthur loves good gospel music and only has those that truly honor the Lord with their singing and their instruments to come. That being said....we have groups in quite often. There is no charge for any of the singings we have. We love for people to come and just enjoy some good gospel music and enjoy the Lord and His goodness through song. Bro. Joe never ceases to take the opportunity to share the gospel and give opportunity for people to get saved at the end too. So if you are within driving distance I hope you'll come and enjoy the night of good singing and good fellowship.

Now, that just floors me about Ray Boltz!!! I don't blame you for removing that from your blog.

I love good gospel music and have listened to your site from time to time, but mostly when my Hubby is not sleeping...he has to sleep during the day.

Our Church is having a group visit in Octobor for our Pig Roast...I can't wait!

Enjoy your blog so much and look forward to every post!☺

That Good Part....Thank you so much for letting me know how much you love your visits here. I was shocked about Ray Boltz too. It saddened my heart. That is the second person in the past week that I heard of that has chosen to let such a lifestyle ruin their life. The other one is an 18 year old that has been close to our family since he was small.

Sis Julie,

My Hubby is now up for the day and I read bits of the article about Ray Boltz to him. An excerpt that makes me shiver is this quote:

Joe Hogue worked for years as a CCM producer in Nashville with acts like Carman, DC Talk, BeBe and CeCe Winans and others, and found the calls for work completely dried up when he divorced his wife and came out.

“There are a lot of closeted people in Christian music,” says Hogue, who now lives in California and works with gay singers like Nemesis and Jason & DeMarco. “And, you know, it’s not even really the artists that care about it so much, they just know their audience will.”

Also read there about Kirk Tally???
And what an insult they flung at poor Mark Lowry!! Just because he has not wed!!
What is going on with this world?!?

It makes me want to stick to hymns!!

That Good Part...I know what you mean. We had heard about Kirk Talley some time ago and don't support him with buying or listening to his music anymore. His song He Is Here is a song that our church choir used to sing and even my girls and I used to sing in churches we would pastor or go into. We stopped that. I also heard about Mark Lowry and that is sad that people would say things like that with not validity to it whatsoever. This world is getting worse and worse by the day. But that is Bible prophecy for you.

Just stopping by to say hi...and that I'm continuing to pray for you. You are on my heart--a lot.

I'm so sad to hear about Ray Boltz...so sad.

And I love your play list--we are actually going to see GVB in November for Zach's 18th birthday. : )

Hugs to you, dear one...

Hi Julie,
How are you doing? I feel like it's been forever since I have left you a comment. I have been thinking about you and praying for you!!

I had no idea about Ray Boltz that is so horriable!!! Same thing about Kirk Talley I was so sad when I found that out years ago.

Have I told you yet I am a k4 teacher this year at the Christian school. I am so excited about it!!!lol I wanted to tell you about it but I just haven't had time.

Hey Julie,
Glad to see you posting again, life sure can be busy!

Okay the whole Ray Boltz thing is crazy but not unbelievable. In the whole CCM circle, the Bible has never been the standard for life and why should it surprise us now. I read the article and was so sad that it's seemingly another mark against the Bible for the queer agenda.

I went and looked to see what songs he wrote and I was surprised to see that he wrote, Thank you for giving to the Lord. I have heard that one in countless mission conferences.

Wow, is all I can say.
Come quickly Lord Jesus!

Sis Julie, praying for the Lord to lift your burden and to strengthen your heart. God bless.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Psalms 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Psalms 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Wanted to give you and your readers an invitation to my newest poem/page: The End Of The Fight. I hope it's a blessing to you. You can leave a comment here on my blog, if you'd like.

I also made a new page for one of my favourite poems from a couple of years ago: A Song In The Night (basically the title poem for my poetry blog).

I had stopped writing poems between 2-3 years ago (only a few in 2005, and one or two in 2006 - the last one was A Song In The Night), and since my computer crashed in October 2006, I had not updated or added any new pages to Home Of The Real McCoy. This is the third one I have written this year - wanting to be an encourage and blessing to someone struggling. Maybe that is why the spring of poetry dried up inside - because I became focussed on my trials and my losses - but each of the three poems I have written this year (The End Of The Fight, The Father Of The Fatherless, Searching For Truth*) came out of burdens to comfort and strengthen others. Please pray that the Lord would keep molding me to be a blessing to others. I would appreciate if you would let me know what you think of those poems/pages. I guess I sort of feel nervous about posting new poems and pages because it has been so long.

*Lord willing, soon I will have some backgrounds for these other two poems as well.

Thank you for your prayers and friendship. Praying that the Lord will strengthen your heart. My friend, keep looking forward to the end of the fight!

VERY IMPORTANT!

Are you a good person? Take this test and find out.
