I Want More

Mark 4:23-24 "If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given."

This pertains to hearing spiritually. We need to listen and pay attention.

How many of us want more? There should be something in us that desires to know more of the Lord. If we possess the Holy Spirit we do have that desire. The flesh wars against that desire. But we need freshness today. We need something more. We should not be satisfied with what we know and/or what we have today in Christ.

We should want to know more of His wisdom and His grace. Do we read God's Word and then set it down like we would the local newspaper? Or do we feel compelled to dig in and study more to find out what God has for us to know? It should be natural-if we know God-to do that.

We should desire to have God's presence. We should desire to get in touch with God and know when we have...and have the assurance that He loves us and has heard us when we cried out to Him. We should want more of Him in our life.

We should desire to have His power in our life. We need to stop letting the flesh rule in our lives and let God be in control. We need His power to be real to us.

We need to realize that we are weak. But when we are weak ...that is when He is strongest in our lives. He is our strength.

Do you want more? Or has God given you more and you've not done with what He's given you what He wanted you to and you've wasted it. God may have tried to give you more but you've not received it. We must want it! And then once He's given it to you...don't forsake it. When you do what God wants you to with what He's given you...then He'll give you more. If you are asking God for more and you're not using what He's already given you...then He'll not give you more.

I'll ask you again...do you want more? Or have you "arrived" to where you need to be? I will tell you that you might think you have arrived...but we will not arrive until we receive our glorified body. I for one know that I am not where I need to be...nor am I where I want to be.

We should want more of His Word...presence...power...and wisdom. I know I do!!!
