I Samuel 2:12 "Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the LORD."
Eli's boys were "sons of Belial" which means they were sons of the devil. They were not saved. They were sons of the high priest and hanging around the tabernacle and even ministering there.
Many people send their children to a Christian school and feel very comfortable about it. Don't misunderstand what I'm saying...I'm not against Christian schools. The problem is that since their child is in a good place...the parents quit praying for the child and have little concern for them. That child may be in the most dangerous place imaginable. Other parents feel secure in the fact that their child is in a fine church. We need to understand that is where the Devil goes...to those good places. Those children that go to good churches or good schools still need prayer. That good place may be a dangerous place.
I have personally seen the devil at work in our church. I've seen him at work going after our young people. It is a real concern to me. Our young people are very vulnerable to the devil's devices. Our young people need our prayers!!!

I agree with you Julie,
so many parents think the Church or the School can give their children what they need but so many times it is false security...
very good eye opening post...
Sis. Mimi....Yes it is a false security.
I agree with you Julie, I worked in a Christian school and I know they have a lot of public school rejects. That was one of the reasons I started homeschooling. All of our children in all schools need our prayers.Bless you. Lisa
Sis. Lisa...You are so right about that.
This is a MUCH needed reminder and so very very true. Thank you
Sis. Heather...Yes it is...you're welcome.
Hi Julie, Just came across your blog. I was wondering if this is the church where Bro Randy Southerland goes to? If so he has been at our church here in Livingston, Louisiana several times. We go to Fundamental Baptist where Bro. Rusty Silvertooth is our pastor. I know what you mean about the devil fighting our children. It is our grandchildren now as our children are grown. We have a good group of young people but we have sucha responsiblity to keep them held up in prayer. I might have the wrong church but it is good to see a good IFBC blog.
Sis. Ailene....No ma'am. Bro. Randy does not go to our church. He goes to Concord Baptist Church where Bro. Sammy Allen is the pastor. I love hearing Bro. Randy preach though. He is an awesome man of God. Our church is Harvest Baptist Tabernacle where Bro. Joe Arthur is the pastor. We have an awesome church but as in most larger churches...the devil has more areas to attack and do his work. Our youth group is quite large and God has been moving in it lately. I know that is why our young people are under such attack. But he also attacks just because most young people are very vulnerable to his devices.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you will come back again.
We have heard Bro Joe Arther preach also. Go to our church and see what we are.

We run about 275 to 300 way out in the country - but God has given so much talent here and we don't want it used for the devil. Bro. Rusty is the best preacher that we have ever had. All the workers are dedicated. We are about to overflow. Talk is in the air of building a new sanctuary. You will see some of the talent in the music dept. with our youth. We fell so blessed that we have a good church to go to. Bless you. I will be back on line in about a week or so. We are going on vacation for a few days.
Yes! The tares are always amongst the wheat. We must always remember to be discerning of those around us and what they may be teaching. Great reminder.
Sis. Jodi....Yes ma'am...it is a great reminder!
