How Big Is Your Problem?

Isaiah 26:3 "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."

This is one of my favorite verses in the Word of God. It tells me that I should never focus on my problems. Yes....our problems seem quite large at times. When you see the cabinets empty of food...and the bills piling up that you just don't seem to have the money to pay...and the kids are asking for things they "say" they need and the money just isn't there to get it for them (even when it isn't a real need)...and when gas prices are so high that $5 won't get you very far at all. These are pretty big problems. But how big is God? I'll tell you one thing....He is MUCH bigger than any of these problems and even than all of them combined.

I don't know why this is on my heart this morning....but I know that God is reminding me that He is mighty and quite able to meet our every need. So with that being said....we should not focus on any problem or trial we face. If He is your Lord and Saviour....He has your best interest in mind and knows what is going on and is in control of it. Just trust Him and stay focused on Him.

None of us know what today is going to hold for us...but He does...and we need to know that He is the God of this day and He will be with us in it and will help us through it.

So let me ask you....how big is your problem? And then let me ask you....how big is your God?

Amen!

Great Reminder. We do sometimes dwell on the circumstances in our life which get us down and discouraged. But there is no problem too big for our God. He owns everything and better than that he is in complete control. Great Post.

Many times my problems are spurred on by *me*. Oh that I would do that which I should...

Thank you for this post. If it's all right I'd like to print it and read it a bit later today.

Bless you.

Hey Sis.Julie,
I usually don't comment on your post even though I do read them. However this particular one really helped me in my time of need. Thank you for posting this because we all need a reminder sometimes that God is still in control.

Love ya,
Sis.Crystal

Well Sis Julie, I'm having my own little pity party today and while I don't know "why" things are the way they are, I know God does. I think your post was just for me! (((hugs)))

Bro. Nick....Don't feel bad that you haven't been by. I haven't exactly been able to get by your site or anyone else's either lately. But I hope to do better too.

Praise the Lord. That is a real blessing to me. At the minute we are going through some real deep trials and trusting God to work things out. It seems the government trying to run out the missionaries that been here for over 7 years. We've been serving the Lord here for 12 years and been in missions for 16 years. God has been so good to us. We're just trusting the Lord to do something in this situation. We just want the Lord's will.

Bro. Roger & Sis. Tammy...I knew things were tough over there in England but had no idea until the comment left last week on another post that they were trying to run missionaries out of the country. We have been praying for y'all and will continue. Stay strong in God's joy and His strength. He put you there and He is fully capable of working all things out. We love y'all dearly and if there is anything we can do let us know.

Thank you, Sis Julie, for posting this excellent reminder to just keep trusting in the Lord. God will provide our needs as we walk with Him and keep our minds stayed steadfastly on Him. He may even use us to meet the needs of other Christians going through trials (which happened to me just the other day). God is not limited by our situations - He is always able, faithful, and trustworthy!!

VERY IMPORTANT!
