Be Ye Separate

II Corinthians 6:17 "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,"

God has commanded His people to be separate. You might ask "What are we to be separate from?" We are to be separate from this world.

Many are claiming the name of Christ with their mouth yet their appearance and their actions are no different than the world. Many are using the world's language. They are dressing like the world. They are going to the places of the world. They are spending excessive time with the world's people. In reality...there is nothing about them that would say to a person that they know Christ. That my friend is poor representation of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

If they would commit to living for the Lord as much as they live for the world...oh what a trophy for God they would be.

We need to be aware at all times of what message we are sending to the world. Is your message that you are sending one of belonging to Christ....or is it that you belong to the world?

Yep...I often view pictures of blogs or websites or talk with people claiming to be Christian and honestly can not tell a difference from the world. How will they know who we are? If I need a policeman, I look for someone in a police uniform. If I need a doctor, I look for a man in a white lab coat. Get what I'm saying?

Mrs Julie great post. The one thing that most churches are failing in is this thing of seperation being different. People don't want what we have because instead of them seeing Jesus in us they see the wickedness in us.

I am afraid that we as Christians do not show enough difference to the world..that they fail to see the special bond we have with Christ, therefore they have no desire to seek Him...

Sis. Julie this was so good and needful. I want others to look at me and hopefully see Jesus, not the world. The world is everywhere. The world needs Jesus. We as Christians are to live in such a way that others want what we have and that is Jesus. Thanks, connie from Texas

Sis. Kate...That is right...so why are so few preachers preaching this message these days?

Sis. Julie said...

Sis. Kate...Yes ma'am...it sure is. But I still have a few boxes in the garage that have yet to be put away.

Sis. Connie...I know I want others to see Christ in me. Would that we would all have that same attitude.
