Luke 16:24 "And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame."
We need to be shouting "FIRE!!" We need to be telling others of the fire that is awaiting them if they don't know Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. We need to tell them of a beautiful place in Heaven that awaits each one who accepts Christ as their Saviour...but they also need to know of the terrible place that awaits those who don't.
There is a literal Lake of Fire that God is going to cast the devil....his angels...and each person who rejects the salvation that Christ is offering them. Revelation 19:20 "And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone." Revelation 20:10 "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." Revelation 20:15 "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
If our neighbor's house was on fire and there was any way we could go in and rescue those still in the house we would do it. I don't think there is a person reading this right now that wouldn't do all they could to get to them and get them out of the fire.
There are millions of people who are in that dangerous place in their own lives. There is a fire that is getting closer and closer each day that goes by. We need to yell "FIRE!!" and try to rescue them from that fire. We can't do the saving...only God can do that with the water of His Word. That fire can be extinguished for them in their lives and they won't burn forever if they will simply believe what Jesus did for them when He died on Calvary...repent of their sins and allow Him to come into their heart and lives. But how will they hear if we don't tell them?
So get out there and yell "FIRE!!" and give the gospel so they too can escape that fire that awaits them if they don't get saved!! Someone yelled "FIRE!!" to you when they shared the gospel with you didn't they?

Wonderful post, Sis Julie! We need to be reminded of this every day!! Sometimes we just get too comfortable in our Christian life.
Mrs Julie,
Good Post! You are right we must do a better job at yelling fire. It amazing where we are at now they do not give you a chance to really give the Gospel. I pray that will change but we are trying to get the church to understand it is our responsiblilty to reach the lost.
Bro Tim
pamelak...You are right...we do need to be reminded. We shouldn't have to be...but we do!!
bro. tim...I'm afraid that all of our churches have lost the burden to reach the lost. That is so sad!!
Our Sunday school just finished a study of Revelation. We loved it! We as believers should be looking forward to that day and trying to get the Word out in the meantime. Thanks for this post!
sis. tiffany...Amen!!
Sis Julie,
you are right we need to tell it like it is... and let the lost know that if they do not accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior they are indeed in danger of hell fire!!!
Amen and Amen
sis. mimi....You are so right!!
AMEN AMEN AMEN! There are many folks around us that need to be rescued from the pits of Hell.
Are we waking them up from there sleep, are we sharing the gospel so that they realize they are need of saving. Are we praying enough? Great reminder sis!
Cristina
Amen...yes, the URGENCY of the situation is what is important...great post.
sis. cristina...Amen...praise the Lord!!
sis. heather...yes it is!!
i wouldn't say "I'm afraid that all of our churches have lost the burden to reach the lost". I know some amazing churches that have their #1 goal as reaching the lost and spend every Sunday going to neighborhoods to witness door to door and to visit with people. Yes, many churches have failed in still honoring the Great Commission, but there are some churches that have realized that our salvation means that we are now missionaries and called to the mission field everyday at work, school, etc.
kristie....I'm sorry...you are right. I didn't mean to put that statement like that. I realize that not ALL churches have lost their burden for the lost....but I don't know a church that has a burden for the lost like God would like us to. There are definitely churches out there that are doing something...but my question is...are they doing everything they can?
I tried to leave a comment and I got some error report. Sorry. I just wanted to say thanks for posting this. My husband and I just did a study of revelation so this has been on my heart and in my mind lately. Thank you for posting this. You are always such a blessing.
Amen and amen!!! I can't tell you how important this is to read and what little time we have left! Christ can come at any time and our witnessing days will be over!
Kate
sis. kate...Amen!!
Amen! Thats what we've been trying to do this week here in England Yell Fire! Bro. Rob and I gave a John/Roman to entire village that most likely never received the gospel before. We're fixing to go out this morning into the town and give out tracts and try to witness to some people about the Fire! Amen!
bro. tooley...We praise God for how He has used you there in England!! I pray for you and all of our missionaries daily that God would empower each of you to do His will where you are and that many be saved as a result of your efforts.
We love you and appreciate you and your family Bro. Tooley!!
