God Is Able

Ephesians 3:20 "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us."

No matter what some think or say...they are completely unable to save themselves and get themselves to Heaven. There is only One Who is able to save...and only One Who is able to keep us saved. No person is even able to resist temptation to sin. Only through the Lord Jesus Christ can any of these things be accomplished. Hebrews 7:25 "Where he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them."

God is also able to get us through those difficult times in our lives. Many try to get through their difficult times on their own. This is impossible to do without Him. He is able to meet every need a person has in their life no matter what that need is. II Corinthians 9:8 "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:"

We all face different situations in our lives and different needs in our lives. He promises to meet our needs no matter what the need is...whether a physical need or a spiritual need. Philippians 4:19 "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

When we need grace...He is able to supply it. When we need strength to carry on....He is able to supply it. When we need wisdom...He is able to supply it. When we need food...He is able to supply it. When we need shelter...He is able to supply it. When we need encouragement...He is able to supply it. I hope you get the message here. No matter what your need is today...He is able to supply it. All you have to do is ask and then receive it.

He is not slack concerning His promises to His children. He wants to meet your need...and He is ready and able to do so. Just ask!!

Amen, it sure is great to hear and know that God is able to supply for ALL our needs, and that He is so close to us that He knows exactly what we need and the perfect timing for it... but why is it that it's so hard to ask or remember to ask? Everytime I hear I can ask it always comes to me as a surprise... a good one, but I don't know why I keep forgetting it...

Sis Julie, You are so right on with this post. I have no clue how people face troubles in their lives without knowing our Father God to turn too.

Love you,

Lyndy

I think it is great that you post such amazing, uplifting and true things!! I am a member of an online homeschooling forum and there was a disucssion about this recently. Some peopl eactually think that the Bible is a book of "fairy tales" and that as long as you do good deeds you will get to heaven! I am so sad for these people who do not know the truth. Several of us tried to show them differently but instead they took offence and had the modorator shut it down. I just feel so bad for those who have heard and choose not to listen.

sis. tiffany...It is very sad those that have heard the gospel and choose not to give their lives over to Him.
