There Is Coming A Day For Everyone

Romans 14:12 "So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God."

One thing is promised to happen to every person. Everyone will face God some day.

Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"

For the Christian there is no need to fear going to Hell. We will not see that awful place. Jesus paid for our sins and bought us with His blood.

Although we won't see Hell we will still appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ. II Corinthians 5:10 "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." God will judge our motive for the things we've done in service since being saved. If they were done for Him because we love Him...it will come forth from the fire as precious stone. If it was done for self or some other motive...it will be consumed by the fire as hay or stubble. I Corinthians 3:13 "Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is."

The lost or unsaved however will face a much different judgment. Revelation 20:11-14 "And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." No one can be saved by works. Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." That being said....Revelation 20:15 "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

I am not saved by my works but I work because I am saved.
