Once Saved...All Problems Are Gone

Matthew 10:22 "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved."

Have you ever heard someone say they thought once they were saved that ll your problems would be gone? I've heard people say that's what they thought. This is definitely not true. I can say that I handle my problems much better now than before I was save. Now I have God' grace to get me through...and I have Him to turn to.

The Bible tells us that there will still be problems. John 15:18 "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you." II Timothy 3:12 "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." Because the devil hates us....things will not be easy. He will always have something or someone that will make things hard for us. God allows these things to keep us on our knees and to help perfect us and conform us to His image.

Although we have troubles that come our way...and trials get fierce and difficult to get through...God tells us that He has overcome the world. John 16:33 "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." Through Him we have the strength to get through whatever comes our way. Amen!!

Amen! Awesome post. It amazes me how many people think that life is suppose to be just perfect once you are saved. God wants out faith to grow and grow in Him, if we never had trials to go through, we would never grow.

Mrs Julie what a truth. I was one of those that thought after you were saved no problems. This lasted all of about one day and then I got home and found a problem in my family. But God is faithful to help us get through those problems once we get saved. Before salvation we were on our own trying to do our own thing, after salvation we have a friend that sticketh closer than any brother. Praise God for this. Good Post.

When I get to thinking life is too hard or I am discouraged through some of my trials (including health problems), I read Job again! Then I get my focus back. There is so much in that book - including who God is. Starting today, I am going to tackle preaching through this book at the Gospel Mission. I have done a message or two on the first two chapters, plus a couple of verses here or there, but never tried to work my way through the book.

There is a wacky Word of Faith church that does a service once a month at the Mission, and presents their false doctrines. I cannot do anything about that - when brought up at an upper management staff meeting, they chose to leave the issue alone. But they did give me permission to counter anything I disagreed with (not that I need permission to preach the Word of God - but I know I will not get in trouble when I contradict this so-called church publicly). Looking forward to expose Satan's lies, and show that there are times God uses trials and bad health in our lives - there is a purpose for all of it, all will work together for our good, and if we cling to the Lord during the trials, there is so much we can glean from, and we will be made more like our Saviour through it all.

Looking forward to this new series. Perhaps, Lord willing, I might be able to type some of the studies up.
