Is God Answering Your Prayers?

Matthew 7:8 "For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."

Prayer is neglected in the life of a lot of saved people. If we are right with God...I mean if there is nothing between us and God (sin...unbelief...selfish motives...etc.) then God promises to hear us when we ask and to answer our prayers.

Here are some promises He gives us....

James 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."

John 16:24 "Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full."

I John 3:22 "And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight."

I John 5:14-15 "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."

John 14:14 "If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it."

John 15:7 "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."

I'm sure you know there are conditions to getting our prayers answered. We must be obeying His commandments...pray according to His will and asking in faith in His name and asking believing He will do as we ask as long as we don't ask in order to consume it upon our own lust.

Matthew 21:22 "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."

James 4:3 "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts."

God has given us some precious promises concerning prayer.

Once again a truly great post! There are times when I have to remind myself to pray for HIS will in my life and not my own. Thanks for teh reminder.

Mrs Julie thanks for the reminder on this post. If we as Christians would truly believe what God wants to give us when we are right with him, I believe it would change our lives.

prayer is our most powerful tool, yet we often use it only as a last resort.

Julie,
this is such a great reminder for us to always ask in God's will for our needs and not "our wants"...

sis. mimi...unfortunately we are not always praying in the right way and then we wonder why our prayers aren't getting answered. I know I've been guilty....as I'm sure everyone has from time to time.

VERY IMPORTANT!

Are you a good person? Take this test and find out.
