We Need To Use Caution!!

Colossians 2:4 "And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words."

There are those that do not know Christ who would love to see us fall in our walk with Him. The devil has them in our lives to do his dirty work for him. God allows them to be in our lives to be a test for us. I'm sure we can all think of someone that has tried to bring us down spiritually. I know I've had several people like that in my life over the past thirteen years that I've been saved.

We need to always be aware of those who desire to damage or destroy our testimony. They are out there. Some may present themselves as "spiritual" so as to gain our trust and confidence only so they can turn and attempt to destroy us.

In case you didn't know it....the devil hates us!! He has no good in him. He is a liar and father of lies. We must always have our guard up and protect ourselves from his evil devices. Not one of us are immune to what he can do to harm us. He does not want to see others come to know Christ. His best weapon I'm afraid....is us. If he can get us to destroy our testimony so those who are watching us won't get saved...then he has accomplished what he has been trying to do from the beginning of time.

It is those who profess to know Christ that he works the hardest to destroy. If you know Christ he can't have your soul because you are sealed by the Holy Spirit. He has already lost you. But he can destroy your testimony which will keep others from coming to the Lord in salvation. It happens all the time. I know many people who are saved and once lived for Christ yet have let the devil have his way in their life. Those people are not bringing others to Christ by their testimony. Don't you think the devil is happy about that? Of course he is.

I don't want to be a tool the devil uses to keep others from coming to know the Lord. I Peter 5:8 "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" Always be aware and walk with caution so you won't become a tool of the devil.

Oh my, what a great post. I completely understand, and deal with people like that all the time.

Thanks for this, what an encouragement, and much needed.

Strong simple post, to the point and oh so true! We must remember that Satan is so mad at us for choosing Christ over him! We need the armor of Christ on so that we don't lose the testimony that is so needed in this world today. We need Christ's love and compassion, and we DO NOT need to be combative! Our lifestyle should say more about us than any words ever could!

Now about your playlist - its all so gorgeous that I didn't want to leave your blog today! When I first signed, one of my all time most favorite songs started - "Yes, I Know". I just turned up my speakers even louder and sat and listened to the entire things. The words are awesome and the harmony of GVB back in those days was great. Right now I am listening to "I Believe In A Hill Called Mt. Calvary". Its making it hard on me to click out of here! LOL
Well I best go visit some others now.

VERY IMPORTANT!

Are you a good person? Take this test and find out.
