Psalm 119:11 "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee."
Psalm 37:31 "The law of his God is in his heart, none of his steps shall slide."
Psalm 40:8 "I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart."
Do you study the Word of God? We TRY to find time to fit in our Bible reading. What about study of the Word of God? Isn't it funny how we are always able to fit in time to eat breakfast or lunch or supper? We make time for vacation. We make time for this and we make time for that. But we do not find time for the Word of God. We schedule our lives to get other things done and then we TRY to fit God in somewhere. If we cannot find time in our day...then we just put God aside without a second thought. Shame on us!!!
In some cases...there are women who once spent quality time with the Lord but now have new babies and all of a sudden don't take time to spend with Him. They choose to play with their babies when they get the chance to get in the Bible. We need to stay in the Bible. Yes...our children need our attention...but we also NEED to take time with the Lord in prayer and Bible reading. Every child needs a Momma and Daddy who have a right relationship with God in their Bible reading and prayer. Children do not need a Momma and Daddy to carry them around and make spoiled heathens out of them. Make time for God!!
This is an area of my life that I would like to improve in. I do have times during the day that I spend doing things that are not of importance. Those are times I could take out for an opportunity to study my Bible. I have been guilty of letting my wifely and motherly responsibilities keep me from my study time and from getting alone with the Lord in prayer when I've felt prompted to. Shame on me!!! I know I'm not alone in this. I know there are others that are guilty of this same thing. May we all (with God's help) make an effort to improve in this area of our lives.

I LOVE to study the Bible, and never seem to have enough time too. :~) However, I'm involved with a Beth Moore study in Daniel right now with my daughter (week 5), and it's forcing me to be disciplined. I pray you're able to schedule some satisfying times of study for yourself. Hugs!
e-mom....its obvious by the posts you put up that you love to study your bible. The Lord knows my heart...that I truly desire to have more time to study. I study...but not as much as I should or even could. I do need to become MORE disciplined. Hugs to you too Sis!!
Good post and an excellent reminder that we can't leave the Lord out of our day to day life if we want things to go well for us and when they don't we will still have the knowledge that God is with us through it all. Thank you. connie from Texas
sis. connie....Amen!!
This is an area I really need to work on. Thanks Sis Julie for the reminder!
Great Post Julie
a good reminder that we can never get enough of the word of God and applying it to our lives. I know I can find more time with the Lord, sadly I put Him second at times. Please forgive me Lord.

sis. sarah...I think we all can say the same thing about ourselves.
sis. cristina....the thing is to realize that we have been neglectful in this area and strive to do better. Thank God He is a forgiving God.
It is so hard for us to take time out of our busy schedules for God and that is an area were I would like to improve as well. A woman in a Bible study once said that she way praying and telling God that she was so sorry that she did not spend enough time with Him because she was just so busy. She said that it then hit her that she was making excuses to The One who created the world and manages all of His children but yet ALWAYS has time for us, no matter what time of day or night . . . He always has time for us! Our Father never makes excuses because He always has time for us!
It is all about priorities. We do what is important to us. If we are not devoted to prayer and Bible study we need to confess our lack of passion and pray as David did; "Renew a right spirit within me". God bless you Sister Julie. I appreciate your ministry here.
sis. cindy....that lady in your Bible study made a very good observation. I've never thought of that but it is so true. May we all realize that we need to be more faithful to our Lord...He has always been nothing but faithful to us.
sista cala...you are so right. It is about priorities. I'm sure that the Lord didn't let going to the cross be an inconvenience for him when He went and sacrificed Himself for our sins. That to Him was priority. Thank you for your faithfulness to come by and to leave comments of encouragement.
