Are You In Need Of Being Healed?

Acts 3:1-10 (1) "Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour." (2) "And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;" (3) "Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms." (4) "And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us." (5) "And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them." (6) "Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk." (7) "And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength." (8) "And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God." (9) "And all the people saw him walking and praising God:" (10) "And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him."

This man was layed at the gate of the Temple begging for alms. He was begging for help.

We have our eyes on everything else. We need to realize there are people out in the world today who are begging for help. The thing is we are missing the opportunities to be of help to those who are crying out not knowing what it is they truly need.

The true problem-solver is not money, or drugs, or relationships, or alcohol or whatever it is that the person thinks they need to solve their problems. What or rather Who they really need is Jesus!!

This man...once he was healed...he leaped and walked into the Temple and was praising God.

A true testimony of spiritual healing is that person will tell others (praising God) and go to the House of God. A person who professes spiritual healing (salvation) but does not praise God by telling others and does not go to the House of God...you have to wonder if they truly received that healing.

A person who was diagnosed with cancer and gets a report from the doctor that the cancer is gone or has gone into remission has no problem telling others what has happened. But a person who claims they have been saved and doesn't even tell anyone what happened to them...there is something wrong. Spiritual healing is an eternal thing. Cancer said to be gone can sometimes come back...but a person who was once lost but is now saved can never be lost again. How much more should we be willing to tell others of our spiritual healing?

There are people in the world who need our help in receiving that spiritual healing in their life. A person who is not willing to tell others and help others in need...well....they need to check and make sure they received that healing themselves.

I love to tell what Jesus did for me and that He wants to do the same for them.

How about you? Are you trying (with God's help) to help others who are begging for help? If you aren't...today is a good day to get busy and start. But first make sure that you have gotten that help yourself. If you have...then you have a story to tell that could help someone else to receive that healing in their life.

This is a fantastic post Sis Julie!!! For some it is so easy to tell others what Jesus has done and for so many it is very hard. It use to be easy for me to talk to other believers but not the ones who truly needed to hear it . . .those who were lost. Now I try and share the good news with anyone who will listen!

This post reminded me of that song, In the Shadow of the Steeple. I wish I could remember the words, but it's along these lines. Have you heard it?

Great post.
