Tomorrow Is Sunday!!!

Hebrews 10:25 "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."

NEWSFLASH!!! NEWSFLASH!!! Tomorrow is Sunday!! Yippee, hurray, alright, amen and amen!!!

Let me guess...you already knew that and didn't need me to tell you that. Well...you'd be surprised how many people need to be reminded of that. And then there are some that know tomorrow is Sunday. I get to be in the House of God!! And if you are a born-again believer you get (and need) to be in the House of God as well. So many people look at going to church as a drudgery or a chore or something they are supposed to or have to do. I look at it as an honor and privilege to get to be in the same BUILDING with my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to worship my Savior in Spirit and in Truth.

The Bible commands us to be in the House of God. It doesn't tell us when...it just says to do it. So that tells me that whenever the church doors are open that we are to be there. Just like our for our church tonight...we have been meeting on Saturday nights for prayer meeting for many months now. God is honoring that sacrifice that those of us are making to be there. We come together and share new prayer requests each week and we pray as a church together over these requests and we are seeing God meet many needs as a result of it.

I for one look forward to being in God's House. I get encouragement and help by being there. Why you might ask? Because He is there....yes He is in my home too...but there is just something special about being in His House. Second...other believers are there. We gain comfort and encouragement from our brothers and sisters in Christ. We also get to pray with them. That is an honor in my opinion. I just love getting around my church family. And we are a family.

There will be some tomorrow that will use lame excuses for not going to the House of God. Some will say they have a headache. Others will say they are too tired and that Sunday is the only day they have to rest. Others will say that they have nothing to wear. And yet others will say that the church is full of hypocrites.

As for the headache excuse...we knew a lady in our home church that was dying of colon cancer. She would come to church in extreme pain and everybody knew it...but she wanted to be at church to worship her Lord. She was faithful till she got to the place where she just couldn't come anymore. That has stuck with me. So when I have pain....no matter what the pain...I remember Mrs. Robbie and how she kept going to church and that my pain is nowhere to the level hers was and it didn't keep her out...so it shouldn't keep me out either.

As for being tired...I'm so glad that Jesus didn't use the excuse that He was too tired to die on the cross for our sins. I'm sure He was physically exhausted and mentally exhausted with all that He was going through...yet He carried that cross for us and He hung on that cross without so much as a complaint or offering up excuses as to why He couldn't sacrifice Himself for us.

As for having nothing to wear...if you have clothes to wear then you have something to wear. It may not be what a person would consider dressy enough or whatever the excuse might be...but the important thing is that a person be in church. God just wants us there!! I appreciate people who think they have to be dressed up to go to church...and we should wear our best...but if our best is not someone else's best...then so what!! Go anyway!!

And as for there being hypocrites in the church...yeah there probably are. But what I say to people when they offer up that excuse to me is "There are hypocrites at your place of employment aren't there? Yet you still go to work!!" We have one young lady that is coming to our church that is using the excuse of not getting saved because of all the hypocrites. She has family members that would go to church and do the right thing then go home and put on carnality. But at least she is coming to church. If people who use this excuse would just go they would find there are genuine God-loving and God-fearing people who do live what they profess.

So my question to you today is...are you going to the House of God tomorrow? If not...why not? I for one am looking forward to it. God has something for me tomorrow through the preaching of His Word and I for one am looking forward to hearing the message He has for ME!! And what a blessing to know that while He is in our church meeting with us that He will also be in your churches meeting with you!! Amen!!

Psalm 122:1 "I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD."

If people could only realize that it is a gift to be able to go to Church! I know that if I didn't go to Church often, I would just wither up spiritually.
Have a great day with God and His people!

I LOVE SUNDAY! It's the busiest day of my week and I never get that Sunday nap that most people get and talk about *grin* but I absolutely love being there and look forward to the prayer room times, the singing, the sermons and the Spirit of God moving through each part.
