The Spider

Proverbs 30:28 "The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings palaces."

Have you considered the places you find spiders? In the basement, in the corner, on the porch, in the cupboard...well just about anywhere you can imagine.

Now how did she get there? Well...the Bible says she "taketh hold with her hands". Hands!! The spider has hands? Yes sir!! At the end of her eight legs are little appendages like a claw with finger like additions by which she climbs walls, trees and so on. We learn from Mrs. Spider that if we use our hands, we can get the work done.

Notice that she gets into the king's palace and makes her abode there. And as much as the servant may clean the palace...she appears time and time again. She is persistent. You can tear her web down...and the next day you will find it again. One cannot rid oneself of the web until you rid yourself of her.

Have you noticed how some webs are very beautiful and very large? I'm sure it took the spider that built it a long time to do. But no matter how hard the spider worked on that web there is still always something or someone that will come along and tear that web down.

Mrs Spider has a message...and it goes something like this. "Be diligent. Do not get discouraged when things go wrong...just be persistent." Solomon wrote in Proverbs 24:26 "For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again." In other words...DON'T QUIT!!!

Be like that spider...keep working and building that web of testimony for God no matter how many times you fall and your web is damaged or destroyed until God takes you home by death or by rapture. (I know spiders won't get raptured...but you know what I mean...LOL!!)

We all fall...but God expects us to get back up and keep going. So no matter who tears down your web or how hard you worked on it before it was torn down...get back up and get to work building it up again. DON'T GIVE UP ON GOD...HE HASN'T GIVEN UP ON YOU!!!

I didn't know spiders have hands! Fortunately, I don't get upset when I see them. I just "show them the way out" on a piece of paper. They're certainly a terrific object lesson in productivity. Good post!

Mrs Julie good post. You may want to read through it again I know what you meant by BOD. I am so glad he hasn't given up on me even though he could have.

Bro. Tim....thank you for pointing that out. I don't know how spell check missed that one. But I had other mistakes too. I usually catch all of them as I'm typing them but boy did I miss some this time. Thank you again!!

Thanks for this post, we should never give up...unless God is showing us that what we are doing is not what He wants us to do of course.

VERY IMPORTANT!

Are you a good person? Take this test and find out.
