Our Field Of Battle

Deuteronomy 20:4 "For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you."

Are you in the midst of a battle? I think we all can say that we are. If you aren't in the midst of one right now then just hold on....a battle is coming. We fight daily battles in our Christian lives. They are not against men...but against spiritual wickedness. We war with the devil and the flesh. We sometimes think that we are fighting against men too. But we must remember that our battles are spiritual battles in that just as the Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

Since our battles are spiritual it takes spiritual means to fight those battles. If we are on God's side then He is our side. We must put on that whole armour of God as it says in Ephesians 6:13-18.

How many times have you been guilty of trying to fight those battles ourselves and in our flesh? I know I sure have. In fact, I still find myself trying to do that. I have "tried to help God out" and in turn messed things up royally. God is still on His throne and we must remember that He is fighting with us and for us. We'll be a whole lot better off when we learn this thing of letting God have our battles and us stay out of the way of what He might be trying to do. Our key to the fight is PRAYER!!!! It is through prayer that we put on that whole armour of God. The battle gets fierce at times but we are protected by His might!! I'm glad I am protected....AMEN!!!

God wants to fight right along side of us. We just have to remember that He is there and then let Him do his work. This is a great post.

Thanks for the reminder that everyday we're in a battle.. between dark and LIGHT! Prayer provides our armour!

I am afraid I'm guilty of trying to fight many battles on my own. Sometimes I lose sight of the fact that I don't have to fight any battles at all. My Lord has it all under control. As humans, it's hard to let go and let God. But praise the Lord, when we do let go, the battle is much easier to face.
