We can choose to be bitter or better and just with the things I have been dealing with as of late, I feel so much closer to my Father God. I am truly learning that "the joy of the Lord really is my strength."

Bless you my sweet sister.

Love, LyndyLyndyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14984900960452623403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5017678746327177641.post-22224830563511352582007-05-14T06:49:00.000-05:002007-05-14T06:49:00.000-05:00About 3 years ago I dropped into a black hole – fo...About 3 years ago I dropped into a black hole – four months of absolute terror. I wanted to end my life, but somehow [Holy Spirit], I reached out to a friend who took me to hospital. I had three visits [hospital] in four months – I actually thought I was in hell. I imagine I was going through some sort of metamorphosis [mental, physical & spiritual]. I had been seeing a therapist [1994] on a regular basis, up until this point in time. I actually thought I would be locked away – but the hospital staff was very supportive [I had no control over my process]. I was released from hospital 16th September 1994, but my fear, pain & shame had only subsided a little. I remember this particular morning waking up [home] & my process would start up again [fear, pain, & shame]. No one could help me, not even my therapist [I was terrified]. I asked Jesus Christ to have mercy on me & forgive me my sins. Slowly, all my fear has dissipated & I believe Jesus delivered me from my “psychological prison.” I am a practicing Catholic & the Holy Spirit is my friend & strength; every day since then has been a joy & blessing. I deserve to go to hell for the life I have led, but Jesus through His sacrifice on the cross, delivered me from my inequities. John 3: 8, John 15: 26, are verses I can relate to, organically. He’s a real person who is with me all the time. I have so much joy & peace in my life, today, after a childhood spent in orphanages [England & Australia]. God LOVES me so much. Fear, pain, & shame, are no longer my constant companions. I just wanted to share my experience with you [Luke 8: 16 – 17].

Peace Be With You
MickyAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07940745178193985942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5017678746327177641.post-25181920979133021352007-05-13T19:28:00.000-05:002007-05-13T19:28:00.000-05:00bro. tim....I'm glad you are still around. I am reminded of the scripture All that live godly shall suffer persecution I believe it shows us how many are truly living godly. Suffering is part of this life we can learn to keep our eyes on Jesus while we are going through it or we drift from Jesus and get in an even bigger mess. Oh by the way the Kohl's thing that is funny. Have a great day or night.

Bro TimAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5017678746327177641.post-30645405503423387032007-05-12T21:09:00.000-05:002007-05-12T21:09:00.000-05:00cindy...you are so right!! I like what Hebrews 13:6 says also . . . I can boldly say, the Lord is my helper, what can man do to me . . .(loosely quoted). It is only by His presence and help that we will prevail.

Great post, Julie. I love the Chambers quote! Too many Christians today do not have a realistic expectation of what it means to walk with the Lord. I also like O.C.'s take on what it means to be useful. I think it is a search for "usefulness" as defined by the world that has led many women astray from their Biblical roles.Jodihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07724180634582208804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5017678746327177641.post-54911669622418572022007-05-12T02:11:00.000-05:002007-05-12T02:11:00.000-05:00pam....its always nice to be reminded that in thos...pam....its always nice to be reminded that in those trying times that our Lord is always right there with us as we go through them. So often we feel like He has forsaken us when He promises that He won't ever leave us or forsake us. And not only that but that He desires to accomplish something in us and through us in those times.
