The hardest one was my husband leaving me and our kids like he did before we got saved. It took me a long time to get to where I didn't dwell on that and the devil would try to use that in my life to get between my husband and I after we were saved and had a new marriage. But to God be the glory that is not the case anymore. When the devil tries to remind me of those times I remind him of what God did and that a miracle took place in our home...we are more in love today than ever before!!Sis. It is human nature to throw it up at them when we become upset. There are things that are very hard to forget and I try and think about it this way; if God, our Father, our maker can forget them . . . I should be able to as well!!! When we forget, we feel so much better and then true forgiveness is accomplished!

Awesome post sis!!CindyMaehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13311068359744550595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5017678746327177641.post-59473257231481448152007-06-15T07:53:00.000-05:002007-06-15T07:53:00.000-05:00What a loving and forgiving Lord we serve. Thank you for leaving a comment. I do realize that there are many who come by my blog that never leave a comment though. Its always nice when someone does leave a comment. Especially new ones that never have. It wasn't till I got my tracker on my site that tells me how many visit and where they are from that I realized just how many come by and don't leave comments. It's not a requirement to do so but it is a blessing when someone does.Sis. But then we falter when something causes it to come back to mind. But when it comes to forgiveness, forgetting is used in a different sense.

When we look at what it means for God to remember something (ie. to actively do something about it), then I believe that when God forgets our sins and iniquities, it means that He no longer charges them against us anymore. See God Remembered.

Those reading your blog entry today may appreciate this study from Psalm 37: Grace To Fret Not

When I preached on God Remembered last month, a woman recapped what I said with this phrase, "God doesn't forget, but He forgives." Meaning, that His forgiveness is not based upon whether He knows about the sin or not (He is all-knowing), but what He does with that knowledge: He no longer actively holds it against us, wipes it from His books, blots it out forever! Praise the Lord!

Hebrews 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.Jerry Boueyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11939572388745111915noreply@blogger.com
