The Truth And Nothing But The Truth

II Chronicles 18:13 & 15 "And Micaiah said, As the LORD liveth, even what my God saith, that will I speak. And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou say nothing but the truth to me in the name of the LORD?"

Micaiah heard the truth...believed the truth and stood for the truth. Many know the truth yet don't believe it. Many believe the truth but don't speak the truth. Others believe...tell and even stand for the truth.

Believers will sometimes forsake the truth and the right way. I know people who have seen people stumble into sin and make a judgment that the person is not saved. II Timothy 4:10 "For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia." Saved people do stumble and forsake the Lord and His truth. Believers will forsake the right preacher...the right church and even the right Bible.

The truth is that a believer can forget their redemption. II Peter 1:3 & 9 "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins." When someone does not add to their faith they are in danger of forgetting they are saved.

The truth is that believers can be forgiven. I John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." God cannot lie.
" Titus 1:2 "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;God says we can be forgiven...this is the truth and nothing but the truth. We can be forgiven because we have an advocate with the Father. I John 2:1 "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Gather, Jesus Christ the righteous:" To be forgiven we must confess (agree with God) our sins.

John 8:32 "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." We need to let God be God and every man a liar. The truth is the truth and nothing but the truth.

Incredible!!!

Oh how we need the Truth - how we have the Truth - how we neglect the Truth!

I love this saying and I use it frequently: "If we are to be spiritual people we must lead Scripture lives". We must know and apply the Truth - period.

Thank you for posting this, sis...

Lord bless!

Sis. Kate....I'm glad you were blessed by this. The Lord really used a lot of the messages I heard at the camp. I will be posting more notes from other messages I heard.

ibcpastor...That is a good saying and one that I'll have to remember and use from time to time. Thank you for your comment.

Mrs Julie what a thought that was preached. IN a day where the truth is watered down I am still thankful that some are out there still preaching. Look forward to what else you got at camp.

Julie, we found your site at work. we did a google on glen puder and saw where you had his pic & memorial. I worked with glen at the navy base and we had a memorial at the base chapel for him. You are his older sister, right? I'm sorry you could not be there for the memorial, it was nice but very emotional. I am very sorry for your loss.
